SACRED HEART COLLEGE OF LUCENA CITY, INC. โ Sacred Heart College highlighted the importance of safe, quality, effective, and affordable generic medicines during its Generics Awareness Month program, themed โKalusugan ng Bawat Pilipino, Generics ang Katuwang mo.โ
The activity brought together DOH representatives from the Quezon Provincial DOH OfficeโMayvenn O. Interino, RPh; Loren Kaela M. Bantucan, RPh; Alpyne D. Repil, RPh; Carlo R. Embralino, RPh; and Pamela V. Malabonga, RPhโthe Lucena City DOH Office, represented by Brian P. Villanueva, RN, MPH, MPM (DMO V), and Center for Health Development 4A representatives Melinda A. Nuestro, RPh, MSc; Gloria Maris Navalta, RPh; Danilou Joyce Turla, RPh, MPA; and Princess Lyka Gigante.
Joining the activity from SHC were Dr. Maria Lucila M. Baroro, Dr. Filipinas G. Abundabar, Dr. Lilian De La Merced, Ms. Shiela B. Diaz, Mr. Gerardo C. David, Ms. Gilrhin U. Villamiel, Jemimah Sharon L. Triviรฑo, Poala Therese Matine P. Garcia, and Russel Valerie Alcansi.
A highlight of the program was the Infomercial-Making Contest, featuring two College of Pharmacy entries and one College of Nursing entry, with the College of Nursing emerging as champion.
The entries were evaluated by Milagros G. Arida, Filipinas G. Abundabar, Hans Xavier E. Reyes, and Sherwin C. De La Cruz.
The initiative supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by promoting informed and responsible access to medicines; SDG 4: Quality Education through health advocacy and student-led information campaigns; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration between SHC and government health agencies.
