
News Update : Three teams, one spirit: Cordians roar, soar, and rule at friendship day yell competition.
LUCENA CITY—On July 31, 2025, the Elementary and Junior High School Friendship Day was held at the SHC Rendu Cultural Center and Gymnasium, with 3 grade levels reigning as champions of their respective categories.
The most anticipated program of the event, the bench yell competition, had Cordians yelling at the top of their lungs, delivering performances that demonstrated camaraderie and school spirit.
For Category A (Grades 1-3), the Solidarity (Best Rollcall) and Simplicity (Best Composition) Award were given to the Grade 2 students, the Growling Tigers, while Grade 3 Swift Falcons earned the Stewardship Award, and the Grade 1 Cute Cubs took the Co-responsibility Award.
Their performance showcased the enthusiasm of young Cordians as they delivered it with bright, heartwarming smiles. But only one can be titled as champion, and the Growling Tigers gave it their best roars to seize that opportunity and take the crown. The Swift Falcons secured the second place, and the Cute Cubs (Grade 1) was awarded the third place.
For Category B (Grades 4-6), the Grade 6 Roaring Jaguars seized the Solidarity (Best Rollcall) and Stewardship Award, the Grade 4 Soaring Eagles took the Co-responsibility and Best Drummer Award, and the Grade 5 Stealthy Panthers won the Simplicity (Best Composition) Award.
Overall, the Soaring Eagles took flight and reigned as champions of the category, followed by the Stealthy Panthers in second place, and the Roaring Jaguars in third.
And for the last category, Category C (Grades 7-10), the ates and kuyas showed their sense of unity with their loud clamor and synchronized movements.
The Grade 10 Siklab Dekada bagged three special awards, winning Simplicity (Best in Composition) Award, Stewardship Award, and Best Drummer. The Grade 7 Fuerza Septima took the Co-responsibility and Solidarity (Best in Rollcall) Award. While the Grade 9 Sagravena Nueve won the Best Traditional Banner, and the Grade 8 Sophomori Aurum won the Best Digital Banner.
The overall rankings saw the Sagravena Nueve taking the top spot, Siklab Dekada in second, Fuerza Septima in third, and the Sophomori Aurum in fourth.
The event was held as an opportunity for Cordians across all Grade levels to connect and collaborate in one mission and one heart.
