CORDIAN PRIDE: SHC’S ABCOMM BAGS BRONZE AT EDUKCIRCLE VLOGGING COMPETITION

Lucena City, QUEZON — Sacred Heart of Lucena City, Inc. (SHC) AB Communication (ABCOMM) program proudly clinched bronze in the 3rd EdukCircle Vlogging Competition for Media Communication held on Saturday, October 26.

The program’s vlog entry, “Crisis & Disaster: Where Passion & Mission Meet Ethics and Responsibility,” secured third place in the competition, providing an in-depth exploration of the media’s vital role in disaster reporting.

Presented by hosts Vince Arcjohn and Alyssa De Ramos, the vlog featured a thought-provoking discussion with esteemed guest Tom Alvarez, addressing the different roles that journalists and vloggers play in emergencies and emphasizing the particular duties that go along with each media.

Dedication and efforts of the production team, including students Daniela Therese Sinuhin, Benson Mengua, Jana Amor, Kuleen Conchada, Lester Valenzuela, Martin Remolin, Alyssa De Ramos, and Vince Arcjhon, fueled the entry’s success, as they showcased their creativity and collaboration resulting into the team’s accomplishment.

The project was also supported by notable faculty members, including Mr. Rustum R. Alvarez (Program Producer Announcer II & Faculty, College of Liberal Arts – AB Communication), Dr. Maria Zorayda A. Torres, Dean, College of Liberal Arts (AB Communication & BS Psychology, Teacher and General Education), Ms. Milagros G. Arida (Faculty, AB Communication & CLATGED), and Mr. Earl B. Gicana (SHC Promotion & Public Relations Officer & Faculty, AB Communication).

This achievement marks a significant milestone for the AB Communication program at SHC, reflecting the program’s commitment to fostering ethical and socially responsible communicators in today’s media landscape.
