BSA’S KATE GONZALES RISES TO TOP 5 OF QUEZON STATISTICS QUIZ

Lucena City, QUEZON – In a tight display of statistics wit and drive for data, Kate Yshebel Gonzales from the College of Accountancy showcased her statistical expertise, claiming a top-five finish in the Quezon Province elimination round of the Philippine Statistics Quiz.
The competition, held at the Pacific Mall Lucena on Tuesday, October 29, saw Gonzales competing against 60 First Year College students from 20 colleges and universities.

Gonzales and fellow SHC First Year BS Accountancy students Shannen San Buenaventura and Aldrin Uy, Jr. initially competed against the field of 60 in the three-round quiz bee. After the first two rounds, only 20 students remained and qualified, with Gonzales and Uy advancing to the third and final round.

Under the mentorship of HED Instructor and coach Engr. Gerardo Navela, supported by Mr. Eduard Mancilla, Student Activities, Development, and Discipline Director, Gonzales ultimately made a significant achievement with her 5th place finish, distinguishing herself as the only female finalist in the competition.

This victory qualifies Gonzales for the Regional elimination round, scheduled for November 18 in Lipa, Batangas, where she aims to claim a spot once more and showcase her statistical skills for the field.
