Lucena City, QUEZON โ€” Higher Education Department (HED) Cordians graduating class of 2024 graced the red carpet at the Solidarity Night held at St. Jude Coop Hotel and Events Center in Lucena City, Quezon, on Friday, May 17.
From the community of Sacred Heart College of Lucena City Inc. (SHC), the senior’s ball brought together students, faculty members, and distinguished guests for an evening of recognition and merriment.
The event began with an invocation and the Philippine National Anthem, followed by the college hymn. Mr. Narciso G. Cruzat, Jr. welcomed everyone and emphasized the significance of the celebrations.
Special Awards were presented to outstanding individuals and departments. The College of Accountancy received the Financial Literacy Champion Award, the College of Business Administration won the Community Outreach Excellence Award, and the Computer Science department was honored with the Technological Innovation Award. Other accolades included the Health Education Excellence Award for the College of Pharmacy, the Collaborative Spirit Award for the College of Management Accounting, and the Community Transformation Award for the College of Nursing. The College of Psychology received the Vincentian Values in Action Award, the College of Social Work was recognized with the Community Engagement Award, and the College of Teacher Education with the Service-Learning Excellence Award, and the College of Liberal Arts also received the Student Engagement Catalyst Award.
Individual achievements were also highlighted, with Roshelyn Pavino (BSBA) and Patrick Padilla (BSSW) named Faces of the Night, and Mary Shaira Gequinto (AB COMM) and Kyle Joshua Abejar (BSN) recognized as Best Dressed attendees. Justine Michael Cholo Flores (BSBA)and Elaine Kaye Luna (BSP) were awarded the Star of the Night for epitomizing elegance and grace.
The event featured inspirational addresses from Sr. Maria Luisa B. Javier, DC, and a prophecy speech by Paul Jericho Aguila (BSA). The Solidarity Night not only celebrated academic achievements but also emphasized the core values of unity and excellence of a Cordian.
