In commemoration of World Catholic Education Day on Thursday, May 9, 2024, Sacred Heart College welcomed the image of Our Lady of Vocation of the Diocese of Lucena with a flower offering and prayers of the rosary.
The day of celebration was further elevated by a statement from the esteemed Sacred Heart College President, Sister Maria Luisa B. Javier, DC: โ€œOur Holy Mass today coincides with our celebration of โ€˜World Catholic Education Day.โ€™ Let us include in our prayer the ongoing active participation of Catholic institutions in the work of evangelization, or the spreading of the Good News of the Lord, said Sr. Javier.
This was followed by the celebration of the Feast Day of our Patron Saint, St. Louise de Marillac, which took place in the SLM Building Lounge. Sacred Heart College organized a charitable gift-giving event in honor of their patron saint, known for her service to the poor.
Sacred Heart College honored the unsung heroes of our communities by recognizing the vital role played by public transportation workers in serving as the lifeline of our society. More than 140 Pedicab Drivers from Barangay Dalahican were invited to a special gift-giving event, where they were thanked and appreciated for their invaluable contributions.
The successful organization of the gift-giving event was attributed to the collaborative efforts of various individuals, including Barangay Captain Roderick Macinas, Angelo Paderes from the Community Outreach Program (COP), Ms. Imelda I. Unlayao, BED COP Coordinator, Mr. Jessie Magdalera, SHS COP Coordinator, Ednalyn Escobiรฑas, Institutional Coordinator & (COP), and Ms. Hazel E.
